Kedarnath, at the source of the Mandakini River, features a natural rock Linga resembling a bull’s hump. Madhmaheshwar, at 3,500 meters, sits at the base of Chaukhamba Peak, where Shiva is worshipped in his navel form. Tungnath, the highest temple in Garhwal at 3,810 meters, marks the site where Shiva’s arm appeared, with Chandrashila, 500 meters above, offering breathtaking Himalayan views. Rudranath houses a natural rock temple where Shiva’s face is revered, accessible through dense forests and alpine meadows. Lastly, Kalpeshwar, located in the serene Urgam Valley, features a cave temple where Shiva is worshipped in his matted-hair form.
