Chopta and Auli both offer breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Chopta is perched at an altitude of 2,680 meters, while Auli sits slightly lower at 2,505 meters above sea level, both nestled in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
The Chopta-Auli circuit is a popular tourist route, whether you start with Chopta or visit Auli first. Each destination boasts its own unique charm and stunning landscapes. Chopta is renowned for the Tungnath Temple and the Chandrashila trek, while Auli is famous for Gorson Bugyal, scenic cable car rides, and thrilling winter skiing adventures.

Day 1 : Haridwar – Chopta (200 km | 7-8 hrs)
Welcome to Uttarakhand!
Upon arrival at Haridwar Railway Station or your hotel, begin your journey towards Chopta. En route, enjoy scenic stops at Devprayag, Dhari Devi Temple, Rudraprayag, and Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. Continue towards Chopta, often referred to as the ‘Mini Switzerland’ of Uttarakhand. Upon arrival, relax and enjoy a delicious dinner. Overnight stay in Swiss camps at Chopta.
Day 2 : Chopta – Tungnath & Chandrashila – Chopta
Wake up to the refreshing mountain air and enjoy breakfast before heading to the Tungnath trek starting point. Begin your 3.5 km trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. If you wish, continue a further 1.5 km to the Chandrashila Peak, offering breathtaking 360° Himalayan views. After descending back, enjoy a warm dinner and overnight stay in Chopta Swiss camps.
Day 3 : Chopta – Joshimath (150 km | 5-6 hrs)
After a refreshing morning in Chopta, have breakfast and proceed towards Joshimath. En route, visit Gopinath Temple, Vishnuprayag, and Narsingh Temple. Upon arrival, check in, relax, and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in Joshimath.
Day 4 : Joshimath – Auli – Joshimath (12 km | 30 min)
After breakfast, head to Auli via cable car (Note: Cable car charges are not included in the package). Auli, located at 2,750 meters, is famous for its 3 km-long skiing slopes. In winter (January to March), it transforms into a snow paradise, offering skiing and other snow activities. In the evening, return to Joshimath for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 : Joshimath – Haridwar (260 km | 8-9 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel by 8:30 AM and begin your return journey to Haridwar. Enjoy scenic views and stop at Nandprayag and Karnprayag along the way. Arrive in Haridwar by evening, where the tour concludes with drop-off at your preferred location.
